The Heart of KBC Worship

We are aiming towards an atmosphere of family worship at KBC. We believe that this is the a very important element of our corporate worship. We need to worship as a family unit and as a church family in such a way that we honour and glorify God. We believe that there should be no segregation between the way in which the morning service worship and the evening service worship.

The most important aspect of worship is to do everything possible to bring every willing person into God's presence in worship.

Worship Report 2010

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since the last time I wrote this report.

Vision and Direction
We are continuing with our fundamental vision to create a family worship environment. This has come with renewed impetus after our KBC Indaba.

New Worship Leaders
We are always on the look out for people who have gifts in leading our congregation in worship. In the past year we are happy to say that two new worship leaders have joined our team. Di Eliasov and Brian Anderson have both made themselves available to lead worship on Sunday morning and evening. This brings our total number of worship leaders up to five.

New Members to the Team
We are excited to see more and more people getting involved in this ministry. Although we can't name everyone we have enjoyed seeing new people join our music teams and our technical (sound and AV) team.

Ernie Kok has kindly taken on more responsibility over sound. Ernie will be making sure that everything is working and running correctly. He will also be involved in training our new sound engineers. Thanks Ernie for taking this on, we appreciate it!

New Ideas
As worship coordinators we realise that it is our purpose to do our best to help people worship by giving glory to God. We are beginning to look into other worship elements like scripture readings, prayer and testimonies that may aid in creating a more Christ focused and God centered worship time.

Teaching and Nurturing

The worship co-ordinators are commited to implementing a programme that will develop and teach vocalists and musicians the catalogue of music used at KBC. Further than that we love to see people grow in this ministry musically as the team member becomes more competant and skillful on their instrument. This growth always benifits the worship team and congregation as the individual gift becomes a blessing to others in worship.

Choral Ministry

image
Our church has a strong contingincy of members and adherants who enjoy choral music. In response to this in 2008 we started a choral ministry to involve people in our worship services and provide an opportunity to serve in their gifting.

The first choral event was the 2008 Carol Service, click here to read more about this event.

The choral ministry does not consist of a single choir but rather involves singers in different worship services wherever neccessary or desired.

Just fill in your details below and describe how you would like to get involved and we will get back to as soon as possible.
