The Men\'s session from Camp 2010

Insert text here...Theme: In Spirit and in Truth.
Reading: Psalm 133.

As men of God we must not be ignorant of the devil and all his crafty devices.
Living in Unity:
Jesus in praying for unity is saying that it is only in unity that the Glory of God can be manifest.
As men we need to know the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our lives as Christ is being formed in us and this will be evidenced and reflected in the way that we do everything, carry ourselves as men, as husbands, as fathers as business men and in every other situation.
It will be manifest in the way that we deal with each other. - In unity

The Holy anointing oil:
How good it is when brothers can live in unity. We have all been called to a unique distinctive ministry and this comes through in the anointing of the Spirit.
We need to appreciate that there is a limitlessness of the anointing of the Spirit to those that are following Christ.
There are two divine things that cannot happen without Gods intervention
1. An Abundant Anointing: And here the psalmist says that it will be as abundant as the dew that falls in copious amounts on Mount Hermon and because it is plentiful, it is transported to Mount Zion where it is needed. This can and will only happen if Brothers live in Unity.
2. Men of God working in the Spirit: Gods works wonderfully when he works in our lives if we are working in the Spirit. This will come about if we are anointed.

It is the will of God that as men of God we keep on being anointed by the Spirit. Keep on knocking, keep on seeking.
There are definite benefits of living intentionally in an Attitude of praise before God, assured that I walk as an anointed follower.

What do the scriptures show us about this anointing?
1 John 2;20
• The anointing is available to all.
• We are accountable for the measure of anointing that we get.
• The anointing is noble and recognizable.
• The Spirit of the Lord is upon him who has been anointed.
• Anointing is Gods enabling of us so that we can be fit and prepared for Ministry.
• The anointing allows mental/physical ministry.
• This anointing helps you to feel what God feels.
God wants men who will be broken like he was broken for his people. He wants us as men of God to feel for the unsaved, care for others and be concerned about his work.
• The Spirit gives us the fragrance needed that others will be attracted to.
• The Spirit gives us liberty. We are the illumination of Gods work.
• The Spirit teaches.
• The Spirit confirms authority.
• The Spirits anointing endues us with power.
• The spirit moves the world, turns it upside down.
It is this very Spirit that places the seal of God upon us but it also requires certain specific action of us and we must comply if we want to know and experience in all fullness.

1. We need to spend time with our Father daily for this anointing.
2. We need to understand that we need anointing/ anointed often.
3. We need to put our trust in God for a fresh anointing.
4. We must live in such a way that he will not hesitate to anoint us afresh every day.

Realize this very evening that God is desirous to anoint you but be aware that for this to happen, you must not fail to walk close to God.
Do not be negligent in what God has anointed you to do. There are areas of ministry that are there specifically for you to do.
Singing - Writing - Speaking - Teaching.

Make it your prayer that God would help you to live in such a way that your anointing guides you in your daily life.
Be continually filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit.

How good it is when brothers dwell in Unity.
The dew of God that fell of Mount Hermon is waiting to fall on all of us at Kloof Baptist.
As Kloof Baptist we have to put Christ on display.
We have a unique place in the body of Christ and in the world and in the town in which we have been placed and most specifically in the community in which we worship.

Challenge to us:
Tonight I challenge you to put on the Character of Christ.
The secret is in the anointing of the Spirit on us on a daily basis. My prayer is that as men of God he will see fit to use you on a daily basis.
That God will anoint you to become really effective men in Kloof Baptist church.

Amen.
